Koay Teow Th'ng at Kedai Kopi Tong Hoe, Jalan Kuala Kangsar, Penang.

During one early outing with hubby, we stopped by Jalan Kuala Kangsar to park our car. Early morning usually is quite hard to get car park since morning market just few foot steps away.
Apparently we want to go to savour other food but after we parked our car, I spotted the following coffee shop and was amaze by the full house customer.  Well, normally you saw many people in a eatery shop, either food were awesome or the price is relatively cheap.

Chicken wings with beansprout

FoOd PaRaDiSe verdict :

The Koay Teow soup base is a bit different from the other stall. I feel that their broth got duck aroma in it. If you love duck very much then this is certainly a place for you to visit. Guess how much is the total cost for the above meal? We order 1 bowl of Koay Teow Th'ng (Big Serving), 1 bowl of Koay Teow Mee (Big Serving) and 1 plate of chicken wings with beansprout?
The total amount is just cost us RM10.

Chee Cheong Cheok @ Jalan Kuala Kangsar, Penang.

Do you know where is this stall?
If you been to the morning market at Jalan Kuala Kangsar (GPS Coordinates : N05 25.093   E100 19.965), I think you will noticed the Chee Cheong Cheok (Pork Innard Congee). Every time when I walked passed the stall, it was full of patrons. This leads my hubby and I wonder.... hmm.... this stall must be good. So we decided to try out the congee. And since we have two seats located just in front of the stall. We just sat there and watching the boss preparing the congee and with the helping hands of his helper.
The boss is very friendly and polite person. He told us to wait for a while as there were too many people waiting. But the waiting period was in acceptable time frame. While waiting for our congee, there are many people came for "take away". So we took some photos using our compact camera.
Fried Intestines (almost finished)
Chee Cheong Cheok with sprinkle spring onion
We order everything - contains fried intestines, intestines, liver, spleen, pig's blood (豬血) and char Siew. (You can request to add or not to add anything from the above to your bowl of congee)

This is how it looks like after I mix everything.
We love the fried intestines very much. Very crispy! And the congee serves while it's hot. It suits my hubby tastes bud as he loves very very hot congee and very very hot soup. When the bowl of congee served in front of me, I still can see the congee still bubbling. ^-^

Kedai Kopi Soon Yuen @ Jalan Kuala Kangsar, Penang

We patronize this coffee shop for few times in the past and I remembered that I brought along my mum in my 1st visit to this coffee shop and she falls in love with their Koay Tiaw Thn'g. So during one outing, we decided to go back and try it out again.
By the way...... it is quite hard to get a car park around this area especially during weekend as there are markets there in the morning. Perhaps you should go there early and also sometime you need to wait for your seat as it is very crowded in the coffee shop. ^o^

Koay Tiaw Thn'g
Well...... actually I am a bit disappointed with their koay tiaw thn'g this time round. I prefer my last few visits. But to hubby, he think that there are no much different. ^o^
Chee Cheong Fun
Hubby always ordered chee cheong fun for my gal. As it is one of my gal favourite foods. And my gal and hubby comment that the chee cheong fun is ok.

Wantan Mee
And this is my gal order. As she is also fans of wantan mee. ^o^ My gal loves the wantan mee and she finished all by herself.
Hokkien Mee
Hubby and I share this hokkien mee. And their hokkien mee have some pork spare parts too...... And the soup base is ok as well.
Apart from the above stalls.... there are also curry mee stall. This time round we did not try their curry mee but we tried that before and it tastes not bad too. ^o^
