Have you ever tried Els's 22 at Gurney Paragon? Well, i have been passing by the restaurant quite number of time and during one of the Chinese New Year outing, we stopped by Eld's 22 for dinner.

Grilled White Tuna with Chessy Mushroom Sauce - RM29

My princess is having this. At first she enjoyed it very much but after she finished half of the plate, she told us that she was too full due to the cheesy sauce and the white tuna that are very rich.

Grilled Red Snapper with Butter Watercress Sauce - RM30

My sister in law is having this and she reckon that with the value of money, it is still acceptable.

Grilled Lamb Shoulder with Black Pepper Sauce - RM32

I am having this for my dinner. Basically, the lamb was grilled and top up with black pepper sauce. The lamb shoulder that I had is very nicely served. Each plate came with mashed potatoes and poached brocolli, snow peas and carrot. I have to stress out that they served very generous amount of mashed potatoes. But all of us feel that it has too much butter on the mashed potatoes though. 

Roasted Chicken with Chile Salsa - RM25

This is actually the second preference for hubby. The first one that he ordered was told that they run out of ingredients. So hubby settled with this. It turns out to be acceptable for hubby. 

Desserts - Pineapple Volcano

They really need to improve with their pastry. I suggested perhaps they can put into the oven and baked a little while before they served with the pineapple and ice-cream.

Overall, the set dinner is value for money. Which included drinks + Soup + Main Course and Dessert. Although during our dine in session they are lack of man power but they still try their best to serve every customer.

The month of June 2015 is actually quite a busy month for us as we got visitors flocking in Penang for visit. So during one of the families visit from Melbourne, Australia. We have a small gathering just with my hubby uncle and auntie for a relaxing lunch. Just the four of us for the catch up.

The reason that we chose this place is because auntie Anne loves this restaurant in their last visit 2 years back.

Foods that we savour:

Ben's House Salad 

Uncle Hoe is having this for his lunch. I was surprised to see that their salads serve is so big. I have the chance to savour the salad too and found that it is indeed a quite nice salad for me. 

Balsamic Chicken Salad 

Auntie Anne having this and she gave me some of the balsamic chicken to tried. Which I think it was good. But guess my gal will not like it. She will probably find that the chicken is a bit tough for her. I always said that she is like a grandmother which only likes soft chicken/pork. hahhahahha..........

Spaghetti Pomodoro

Hubby had this. His verdict is he makes a wrong choice in ordering this. His expectation is a bit higher in term of spaghetti.

Grilled Pesto Chicken

Last, but not least..... here comes my grilled pesto chicken. It was too many for me. Lucky that I have someone to help me to finish my foods. Well, I like the side salads. Love the toasted sesame seeds. As for the grilled pesto chicken i guess if you like pesto, you will love it but if you cannot take pesto then please don't order this. As it has a strong pesto aroma.  And it comes with deep fried yam, potato and sweet potatoes.

FoOd PaRaDiSe verdict: 

I loves their salads and the environment vice for a weekday lunch is nice and relaxing. It's quite a nice place to catch up but please be aware that they have downsizing their menu as some of Asian delights food was off the menu.

Edo Ramen @ Gurney Paragon, Malaysia

First of all, I would like to thank my blogger's son and future daughter in law for the treats of the ramen feast. 

This is my first time dine into this restaurant @ Lot 163D-1-05 Gurney Paragon, Penang. It is actually quite a good concept. For those who are running out of time and would like yo grab a quick meal rather than fast foods, I believe this would be one of the choices you can try! Their business hour is from 11am to 10pm daily. Contact number: 04- 2260961.

Simple yet straight forward menu

Ultimate Black Ramen - RM17.90

This ramen broth is cook with classic pork bone broth and Japanese Fragrant Fish Powder plus fragrant garlic oil. 

If you don't want to opt for less ingredients in your ramen, you can opt for Ultimate Black Ramen.

Miso Ramen - RM10.90

The broth of this ramen is cook with classic pork bone with Japanese soya bean paste. It is a bit different with the normal miso soup. 

Tokyo Ramen - RM9.90

Tokyo Ramen is cook with classic chicken with seafood broth. If you want something mild from the menu, perhaps you can try this out. 

Spicy Miso - RM2.50

If you give this a try! Their Spicy Miso paste. This is under their add on menu. We have tried this after we taste the original broth of all the ramen above. Actually to me, it is not too spicy at all. Eventually after you add this into the broth, it will have another flavor. 

Overall, the ramen were ok as it is not too soft as I don't like my ramen to be soft and soggy. We had hot green tea for the night and it is quite a big cup. I was told that it can be refill some more. Perhaps next time, I would try out their rice and gyoza.

In the meantime, wish all the mummies, "Happy Mother's Day", pamper yourself and enjoy yourself!

Pacific Coffee Company @ Gurney Paragon, Penang

It's been quite a long time. I have been missing and not updating my blog. Many friends and readers do write to me about the blog. I am still struggling whether should I continue to blog for my food blog. I hope that I can set my target to at least one or two posts weekly. >.<

One of the weekends, we stopped by Gurney Plaza as we need to attend one of the functions there.  We walked around Gurney Paragon and saw Pacific Coffee Company and decided to stop by and grab some breakfast.

You can either chose to sit inside the shop or outside. But inside is only limited table for you. We were there quite early and lucky grab some seats inside. While waiting for the food to be served, you can either surf net or there are plenty of magazines and newspapers for you to kill your time.

The service on that day were fast considering we were the first few customers for the day. We ordered the following for our breakfast:

Tuna Croissant

The croissant is quite a big served. It is served with garden salads. Basically, the tuna were topped above the flaky crispy croissant. 

Egg Croissant

The set came with the garden salads and egg topped above the flaky crispy croissant.

Hubby and I actually quite enjoyed the breakfast. I had the cafe latte which i required no sugar in it and it doesn't taste bitter at all. I quite enjoyed that. We spent sometime there reading some newspapers and magazines before we left the shop. The shop attendants were nice and friendly too!
