Sin Wan Delight Rojak & Cold Drinks @ Jalan Bintang Jaya 2, 98000 Miri,Sarawak Malaysia.

Well, what should we have during afternoon tea break in Miri, Sarawak? Rather than usual noodles, we have a try on the rojak, mixed deep fried kuih and sotong kangkung.

Food that we savoured:

Cendol
Hubby has this and he is enjoying it. With everything in it. He opt for the evaporate milk instead of the coconut milk.

Ais Kacang Merah
As a lover of red beans, I ought for the pure red beans with evaporate milk.
Ais Jagung
This is just purely "corn" as my daughther just want to have corn and it mixed with evaporate milk rather than coconut milk.

Mixed assorted deep fried kuih
With this platter, we have mixed of assorted kuih such as deep fried sweet potatoes, deep fried beancurd, prawn fritters, deep fried yam and with their special sauce dressing and chillies.

Sotong Kangkung + beancurd
Normally they serve sotong kangkung only but we asked for additional beancurd. This also came with their special dressing.

Rojak
I would say different people make different type of Rojak sauce. This serve a combination of sweet and less spicy sauce with assorted fruits and cucumbers.

FoOd PaRaDiSe verdict:

Overall, we quiet enjoy the food that serve here. Out of the food served, I prefer the deep fried mixed kuih and sotong kangkung with beancurd. The sauce is a bit sweet for my liking. The price wise is a bit expensive compare to the others.

Hopoh Canteen @ Jalan Jee Foh Utama (Wisma Hopoh Miri Lot 1018)98000Miri, Sarawak Malaysia.

We have a short trip to Miri, Sarawak to attend an important function of the family members. Therefore, we have a chance to savour some foods in Miri.
One of the food stops is the famous old time favourite assorted "chai kuih" and Koay chap at Wisma Hopoh. We were told to get there early in the morning in order to savour this. As if you came late, the "chai kuih" might already sold off especially during weekend.

Food that we savour:

Deep fried beancurd
I am actually love the deep fried beancurd offer in most of the places in Sarawak. Some of the deep fried beancurd offer here is stuffed with pork and some with the added salted fish. It will make the beancurd more flavourable.
Assorted Chai Kuih

There are different types of chai kuih that we savoured. If you see from the first photo of the assorted chai kuih, you will notice two of it is wrap in rectangular shapes. I was told that it was wrap with  "Koay Tiaw". Just that this is in big sheet compare to the one one we had for char Koay tiaw. But still I prefer the normal chai kuih but find that the skin of the chai kuih is not thin enough compare to those my aunt mother in law make. But that will just kept in my memory.
The fillings of all the chai kuih are quite generous and taste vice is still nice.

Kolo Mee
My girl is having the kolo mee which she reckon that it is a bit too soft for her liking.

Koay Chap
I had the Koay chap. Soup base is tasty and lots of ingredients in the Koay chap. The Koay is a bit thinner compare to those serve in Penang.

FoOd PaRaDiSe verdict:

Overall, it's a place that you can try several things in one roof. Lucky that we woke ourselves up early to give this place a try.
