Sabah Food Hunt Part 10 - Bella Italia Pizzeria Ristorante Cafe

I am going to wrap up my Sabah Food Hunt in this post. This is the last dinner that we had during our CNY trip in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Since we had seafoods and "chu char" most of the time, I suggest that we had some "Italian Food".
Since they did not say "No", we proceed to the following Italian Restaurant ~ Bella Italia Pizzeria Ristorante Cafe
Location: The Jesselton Hotel
69 Jalan Gaya, 88000 Kota Kinabalu.
Tel: 088 - 313366
The buildings and some of the interior of Bella Italia Pizzeria Ristorante Cafe
For a starter, the following are the drinks that we ordered for the night:
Cappuccino, Hot Chocolate, Hot Milo, Latte Macchiato, Fresh Honey Dew Juice and Golden Dream.
Basically..... nothing much to elaborate with their drinks. Except for my sis. She opts for the cocktail ~ "Golden Dream". I get to taste some and mainly it's orange juice only very mild liquor in there. lol Other drinks taste ok.

Mix Seafood Tomatoes Fettuccine
I ordered this for myself and the seafood is very fresh and the sauce tastes very nice. Not too sour.

Combo Pasta
Hubby orders this for himself and he is a bit greedy as he ordered the "combo". lol The combo consist of fish and seafoods. He still think that he did not consume much of the seafoods from Sabah so since it's the last say in Sabah. He ordered more seafoods. lol
For this combo, you get to choose which type of pasta you like. The fish is very fresh and pan fried till perfection. And the seafoods pasta tastes very delicious.

Chicken Lasagna
My brother opts for chicken lasagna. And off course we share among each other and it tastes very delicious too. And not too cheesy at all.

Tonno
This is off course my gal ordered. Spaghetti........ hahahahhaa.....It's spaghetti with tuna. It tastes very nice as well. Once the dish arrive, she can't wait to dig in. And she is satisfy with her spaghetti tonno.
Special Chicken Ravioli
Mum and sis opt for special chicken ravioli. It's their January special. Basically if you love creamy foods, you will love it. But if you are not the creamy foods lover, please don't try this. I find that the chicken ravioli is very nice but I think it's too creamy to consume it in one go. lol
Pizza 12" + 7 toppings
We decided to try out their pizza since my brother is "Pizza" lover. lol We order the 12" pizza and we get to choose the toppings. You can add as many toppings as possible. They just charge you accordingly. Well...... let me recall what are the 7 toppings that they chose. hmmm..... They are mushroom, onion, anchovies, pineapples, artichokes, bacon slices and ......
The Pizza has a very thin base. It is what we love about. And the combination of the 7 toppings go well with the pizza. The Pizza gone in no time. lol
Next.........the desserts..... da....da.....da......da.......
Chocolate Pudding and Bella Sundae
I asked the waitress about their "Popular" desserts. As they have plenty of desserts to choose from. And she highly recommended me to try their chocolate pudding. So I order one to try and mum and sis order bella sundae. The bella sundae consist of 4 single ice-cream scoop of your choices and sprinkle with almond slice and top with cream and cherry.
As for the tastes vice, I am quite disappointed with the chocolate pudding, may be I have high expectation of it. lol It is not the best chocolate pudding that I had tried so far.
Overall..... we did enjoyed our meal.

Sabah Food Hunt Part 9 ~ Port View Seafood Village

The previous post, I post about the cheapest dinner we had during our trip to Sabah. And today I am going to post the most"EXPENSIVE" lunch that we had in Sabah. ^0^
Port View Seafood Village
Location: Lot 18, Ground Floor, Anjung Samudera (The Water Front), Tun Fuad Stephens Road, 88000 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
Tel: 088-221753/242875
They have been "awarded membership diploma Les Amis D'Escoffier Society" and "famous chef special committee for china cuisine association".
And they claimed themselves as "Sabah's best live seafood Restaurant".
**You must be wonder why I said lunch but the photos of the restaurant is night view right?
As I forgot to take the shot in the afternoon and hubby help me to take the photo at night. :D**
Live Seafood Corner
Fish...... fish and more fishes......
Fish and Mantis Prawn
I did mentioned about the Mantis Prawn in my Part 2 Sabah Food Hunt which I did not took any photos of the Mantis Prawn. And here the Mantis Prawn in bottles. Thanks for hubby who took the live seafood corner as I am busy talking with my brother about the Lobster. lol
Finally...... we chose this Lobster for our lunch. We need to order bigger lobster as my brother would like the chef to make 2 different dishes out of the lobster.
View in front of Port View Seafood Village
The Water Front
Sitting area ~ there are actually 3 seating types area. One is open air (for night), non-air condition and air-condition.
Who visited this place before? It's the Miss Hong Kong 2005 and other Hong Kong actor and actress. And also Hugo Leung ~ "Hong Kong Sek San".

Pickles
Peanuts
Lobster with Cheese
My brother order this dish. He wants the chef to cook lobster with cheese. Well..... the lobster is very fresh..... as live one..... hahhahaha...... and the textures are nice too. Not too hard. lol
Spring Onion Mussel
Well...... it is quite a normal dish. Tastes vice ~ nice and fresh.

Crab with black bean sauce
Err....... the crab sauce is not salty at all and some of the crabs does not have the nice textures.

Miso
Lobster Soup
This is the second version of the lobster. My brother asked the chef to cook Miso Lobster soup for us. The soup tastes very nice and sweet. However, my brother reckon that their miso lobster soup is not as good as the one they tried in Miri, Sarawak. lol

Lo Han Cai
Another vegetables......... and we love it very much with all the black fungus............. this is also good to help us to wash away our cholesterol's with all the seafood hunting in Sabah. lol
Steam Fish ~ Coral Grouper
Hubby browsing through the live seafood corner. And he wanted to order something more expensive than this coral grouper. But end up he changed his mind and order this. As I told him, next time we go hunting in Tawau and Sandakan for more cheap seafood. That's how he let go the expensive fish. ^0^
The fish tastes very fresh and nice.
Overall..... the foods are just ok. As I visited this restaurant 4 years ago, I reckon the food back then tastes much more better than now. Since my last visit was with my brother and sister too. And I asked their opinion and they also agree with me. However, this is solely based on our opinion only.

Sabah Food Hunt Part 8 ~ New Gaya Seafood Restaurant

My sister reckons that she wants to bring us to have cheap seafood. As one of her friend's uncle brought her there before and she reckons the foods are very tasty too. So....... she drove us to this place ~ New Gaya Seafood Restaurant
Location: Jalan Bantayan, Kiansom Inanam, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
The restaurant has air condition and non air condition section to choose and they chose the open air as the rain just stop before we arrived at the restaurant. When we arrived, it still have plenty of seat left but a moment later, it is almost full house.
Hubby orders the following dishes for our dinner:
Prawn
The prawn is really fresh and the prawn is perfectly cooked. Some place tend to over cook it and the prawn textures become too soft. My gal was so fortunate as she got my sister and brother sitting next to her, helping her to peel off the prawn shell. She is like "Queen" and she keep asking for more prawns. :D

Sauce for the Prawn
Steam Fish - Grouper
Actually..... we browse through their live aquarium but not much fishes left as most of them already been reserved. So end up we decide to order grouper for our dinner.
What can I say? The fish is very fresh and tastes nice.
Stir Fry Spring Onion Venison
Sometime when you order venison, you will get some hard textures on their meat right? But this dish is well cook and the meat is so tender. My gal really enjoys this dish.
Sauce for the clams
"Dong Fong" Clams
We never try this clams before and we were recommend by the waiter to try this as well. Every one loves this dish. The clams are very tasty and chewy.
When this dish is being served, my brother and sister are very busy as their "Queen" loves this very much and they have to help her to take out the clams. lol
Actually, we were thinking to get another plates but we changed our mind since we saw so many customers still waiting for their foods.
And our last dish.........
Vegetables with mushrooms
I forgot what is this dish named as it has some meaning for the CNY. Since we don't have any vegetables, I decided to order this for my mum as she loves vegetables. lol This is one of the popular dishes in this restaurant which claimed by the waiter. The vegetables is just so-so, my sister said this dish is tasteless. lol
Overall...... we love their foods and this dinner is the cheapest dinner we had during our trip to KK. ^0^ And the total bill is RM192.84 (including 7 plates of white rice + drinks)
