Wantan Mee @ Lebuh Melayu, Penang

I have been patronise this stall for few times now. I can only savour this stall during my off day. And the timing have to be right too. Furthermore, nowadays it is hard to get a car park as there is a Ghost Museum along Lebuh Melayu. But if is in the early morning, I have no problem when I patronize 113 Lebuh Melayu for Koay Teow Th'ng.
This stall operates from lunch time. Most of the time is fully packed. You have to see whether you have luck to get a seat. My last visit, we were sharing tables with other customer in a very hot day. Hahhahaa.... but no complaint......
Sometime you have to wait for a while as they have lot of customers.

Kim Seng Kopitiam

After chatting with the owner of the previous shop. They introduced us to Kim Seng Kopitiam. They told hubby must try their laksa, Char Koay Teow and Pasembur. Well, to be frankly, both my gal and I was looking at each other when hubby said since we were in Balik Pulau might as well go and try out.

After we were seated, we just realised that this shop were formerly beside old market.

They also served fried rice. However, it is a long wait for the char koay tiaw. There are many customers dine in and also take away. Since we were not hungry with all the foods we had. We decided to wait. It took us around 20 minutes. Hubby loves the way the owner handle the food. It is very hygiene.
The Char koay Tiaw is something different. By the way, they were using charcoal to cook this char koay tiaw the modern way.

It's been quite a long time that I did not had a nice and rich aroma of tau fu fah. This stall is considering having quite smooth tau fu fah with the gula melaka syrup.

David's Roast Poulet
It is basically the roasted chicken maryland. I believed that this roasted chicken has been marinated with several different spices. Then it was coasted with different type of spices gravy. The gravy itself has a very strong herbs aroma. Actually I prefer to have it without the gravy.
The side dish for this main course consist of corn, steam vegetables (carrot & cauliflower) and roasted herbs potatoes.

Pan seared grouper
For the fish lover, perhaps you can try this pan seared grouper. The grouper is not too dry at all. It came with the fish roe, steam vegetable (cauliflower, broccoli and carrot), wasabi mayo and potato croquette.
I love the wasabi mayo especially it goes well with the potato croquette.
