Makanan Laut Jeti @ Bagan Bukit Tambun, Simpang Ampat, Penang.

When we were puzzled what to eat for dinner tonight, we came out with an idea to go across  The Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge (Penang Second Bridge). So we left Bayan Lepas area around 5:15pm and go across the bridge. Smooth traffics all the way to Bukit Tambun.  When we arrived Tambun, so many cars were lined up for parking and we make a u turn and finally get a parking space.
We have nothing in mind where to eat. We been to one of the very popular restaurant there before, so we thought to give other restaurant a try and end up, we stop at
Makanan Laut Jeti
Address: No. 1249, Bagan Bukit Tambun, 14110 Simpang Ampat, S P S, Penang.

Actually quite a full house when we arrived the restaurant. We were lead by a friendly aunty to a seat. Which is very near to the cashiers. Then we ordered drinks and waited for a while for the friendly aunty to come and take orders for our dinner.
After finished order our foods, the satay man came to asked if we would like to try satay? And hubby ordered 10 satay chicken skewers from him.
Chicken Satay Skewer - RM0.80/pc
The chicken weas nice and tender. Just that my gal complained that it's too spicy for her but still she ate two of these in one go. After that kept drinking fresh coconut. Hahhahaha.......

Stir Fried Brocolli with garlic - RM6
Steam Kappa with garlic, ginger, bean paste and chillies - RM10
Steam Prawn with Tang Hoon - RM 23
Kung Po Sotong - RM12
Overall, the foods were alright. The seafood was very fresh. At first hubby want to order octopus but was told that it was not fresh today. So we were happy with their honesty. Hubby likes the steam prawn with tang hoon. It is actually one of their specialties. Was thrilled to find that the kappa came in big portion. The Kung Po Sotong was a bit salty but overall, we enjoyed our meals.

Oh, good to see that the prices still have not gone up in a craze with the launch of the 2nd bridge, as some of the restaurants have reportedly been guilty of! Maybe it's time I should revisit this restaurant, can't remember when was the last time I had seafood in Tambun, LOL :-P

Good to see that their prices have not increased with the boost in traffic with the opening of the new bridge! It's been so long since my last trip to Tambun for seafood, and I've been thinking of it...gotta go soon! :-P
(Hello there! I am back, LOL :-)
