Goh Teo Kee Restaurant @ Sungai Nibong, Penang

Today, I am going to posts about Teo Chew cuisine. We went to have someTeo Chew foods in June at
Goh Teo Kee Restaurant
Location: No.2 Jalan Bukit Kechil Satu, Taman Sri Nibong, 11900 Sungai Nibong, Penang.
Tel: 04-6465072
They have another branch at Sungai Ara but my family and I personally prefer this branch than the other. ^-^
Braised Peanuts ~ RM1.50
After we were seated we were served with this braised peanuts.
After browsing through the menu, hubby went and ordered the following foods:
Seaweed Fish Ball Soup ~ RM6
The seaweed soup is nice. I think my gal finished most of the soup.
Stir fry bean curd and leek with bean paste and prawn ~ RM9
Well, this is one of the dishes that you will find in Teo Chew cuisine. Overall, the dish is quite nice and not too salty.
Fry Cod fish with soya sauce ~ RM29
The waitress is asking us if we want to have some fish and since my gal wants to have fish, so hubby ordered the fry cod fish to try. And it turns out to be great. The outer part is very crispy.
My gal eats lots of it which is good as cod fish has important source of Omega 3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) and Vitamin A and D. So each time she is having cod fish, I will tell her, you eat lots of this, you will become very clever. So, she always eat as much as possible. ^-^
Curry Kapitan Spare Ribs ~ RM12
This is actually the first dish hubby ordered as he knew that I like curry kapitan very much. And the curry kapitan is quite nice. It has rich aroma. For the spare ribs it is very tender and juicy. It is not spicy for me though. So my gal gets to try this too. Her verdict is not bad. ^-^ As if she is like an expert.

Complimentary dessert ~ Green Bean with Sago Soup
This is the complimentary dessert for the day. Tastes ok but too sweet for my liking.
Steamed "O" Nee ~ Teo Chew Yam ~ RM12
This is one of the Teo Chew cusine desserts. Please ordered this when you placed your other orders as this take sometime to steam. But we ordered this when we about to finish our meal. So we waited quite sometime for this.
But we were glad that we waited. As this turn out to be nice. As it is not too sweet just perfect for our liking and furthermore, it is not so "jilat" in tastes. As previously, we tried the steamed "O" Nee in Goh Huat Seng Restaurant, their version is a bit rich. ^-^ But it depends on what kind of steamed "O" nee as different people have different requirement. ^-^ But however, I like the deep fried yam served in Goh Huat Seng restaurant.
****Please note that they are running some promotion there with the set meals, do check it out. ****

I absolutely adore Or Nee, especially when they make it just right so you don't feel sickened after having it. We used to frequent the branch on Gurney Drive a lot until my Dad got sick of it... and we haven't been back since!
