After the big events of the year from my work place. We decided to drop by this place for our lunch during November.

Food that we savour:

During our visit, we decided to take their set lunch. They have different kinds of set lunch menu with the price of RM18 only. 

Following were some of the foods that we savoured from the set lunch menu:

Peach Tea and Ice - lemon Tea

You have the choice of peach tea or ice lemon tea. It serves with ice too. But for us we opt for without ice.

Creamy mushroom chicken with mashed potatoes and sauté green

Chicken & mushroom carbonara spaghetti 

Black pepper chicken with mashed potatoes and sauté green

I actually ordered this for my lunch. The chicken is very tender and the black pepper sauce is just nice. 

Grilled Cajun Spice Tilapia Fish with mango salsa

I get to savour this too and the fish is nicely done.

Chocolate ice-cream

Matcha ice-cream 

You can choose from either chocolate or matcha flavours of ice-cream.

The set lunch is worth for value. Which including one beverage, main meal and dessert (ice-cream). They also offer set dinner as well. 

It is a nice place to dine in. The service is very attentive while we dine it. Environment vice is very nice. We spent sometime to catch up with our peers.

Uncle Lim's Traditional handmade Peanut Barley Candy @ Chowrasta Road,Penang.

Today, I would like to recommend you one of the famous places to shop for spring roll skin aka "Poh Piah".

We were here several times in the past and is not always you get the chance to see the uncle making the "Poh Piah".

During one visit, we were fortunated to see the uncle making the Poh Piah skin.

FoOd PaRaDiSe verdict:

Normally, I will straight eat the peanut barley candy. It's my first time having it with the Poh Piah skin. Something new for me. However, it's a bit too sweet for my liking. They also sell other products such as peanut candy and sauces (such as sweet sauce, chillies sauce and others).

2F+ Coffee by yellow house @ Relau, Penang

During one of my peers birthday, we decided to stop by 2F+ Coffee by the yellow house for some birthday bash and gathering.It was a surprise birthday celebration. I informed the birthday girl that only two of us celebrating but at the end another three turned up. The birthday girl was so surprised and thrilled.

FoOd that we savour:

Bread Lasagna - RM15.00

Basically it is a bread top with cheese, mushroom and sauce. We were told that it is one of the popular dishes in this shop. 

It is quite a nice try and everyone loved it.

 

Bacon and Cheese Bagel

It is quite generous with the portion for this bagel. I kinda like the bagel. This bagel came with cheese, bacon, lettuce and sauce. With the side dish of salads, cherry tomatoes and fries. 

Egg Bagel

Desserts that we savour:

 Mango Mango - RM15.90

Waffle top with mango ice-cream, fresh mangoes, kiwi, dragon fruits, sauce and toasted almond slice.

Banana Kick - RM13.90

It is a waffle top with fresh banana slice, chocolate ice-cream, chocolate sauce and chocolate.

Both desserts was very nice. If you are mangoes lover, you should try their rainbow love whereas if you are chocolate and banana lover, give the banana kick a try.

FoOd PaRaDiSe verdict:

Overall, we are quite happy with their services. Very attentive to customers while we were there. The environment is very cosy and it is a nice place for gathering. But we did not stay too long as it was a weekday and second day is a working day for us.

Food and drink was satisfied but one drawback is I don't get the chance to try on their coffee. Perhaps one day, i will go back for some coffee and cakes.

Moody Cow Cafe @ Transfer Road, Penang.

During one of the weekends tea time, one of my friends reckon that we shall give this place a try. Actually, it's a belated birthday celebration for one of my friends. 

Since she would like to have some cakes and a place to catch up, we decided to give this place a try:

Madness Chempedak 

Macha Madness with Longan 

Overall, if you are a cheesecake lover then I would suggest that you give this cafe a try for their cheesecake. They actually have many different kinds of cheesecake each day. But during our visit, mostly were the Madness Chempedak, Madness Durian, Hybrid and Macha Madness.

We skipped durian flavour's cake as one of my friends is not a durian fan, so we opt for another famous cake - Madness Chempedak. This Madness Chempedak cake has a rich aroma of Chempedak. Chempedak lover you must give this a try! 

As for the Macha Madness. It's something different. Macha with Longan. Very rich aroma in Macha.

Warning: Their cheesecake are really rich in aroma and flavour. For three of us, we can't even finished any of the cheesecake. We still left a lot and I need to take away. Back home, my hubby and gal have a try for both cakes, they favour the Madness Chempedak over the Macha Madness. 

Actually, I am looking forward to their mangoes flavour but unfortunately at the time of visit they don't have any mangoes flavour. However, they have some interesting flavours cake that with century egg + ikan billis, salted egg and etc.

The cafe is a bit dimmed. That's my first impression. I walked in and was approached by a guy and asked me how many people to dine in? I told him three. Then he asked if I want to order any drink/food first? I told him can I wait for my friends to come first. Then he said yes and let me seated on one of the tables near to the counter. We are quite satisfy with their services. The only drawback is it took quite a long time for the drinks to be served. I think it's because they have many walk in customers for the take away cakes and cookies.

kith & kin @ Vantage Desiran, Tanjung Tokong, Penang.

 Few days ago, my friend and I decided to drop by Kith & Kin for lunch since she is going to pick up something from the same building as well. 

I never stopped by during day time at Vantage Desiran. Most of the time, I will only drop by at night. On that day, it is packed with cars but still managed to get a car park in front and for the time being the parking is free.

It's quite a good idea to serve each table with a bottle of water. Instead of asking for refill or asking for some extra water.

 Mushroom Soup

Since we opt for the add on, our soup of the day is mushroom soup. It is also served with croutons.

Mushroom Burger - RM16.90

 My friend opt for the mushroom burger. It is served with burger bun and top with portobello mushroom, sauted with assorted mushroom, wild rockets and sauce. It came with some fries as well. Mushroom lover can opt for a try! 

 Chicken Schnitzel - RM15.90

After browsing through the menu, I saw Chicken Schnitzel is on the menu. Then my friend already knew that I will order this to try. The reason behind this is because we always go for chicken schnitzel during our high school days. Therefore, whenever we came across Chicken Schnitzel, our memories flash back.

Well, this chicken schnitzel of course is different from what we always had before and the outlook is different too. kith & kin has its own version of chicken schnitzel. It is very crispy at the outer part and juicy and tender within. It served with some salads and fries. And not to forget their sauce as well.

kith & kin just open this month and I believed that they still have room for improvement. The place is very big. Services are good and very attentive. And for parents with children, this is one of the places where children have a corner to play and please make sure that all parents/guardians obey their rules and keep the place clean. 

Some drawback for us during our visit - its a bit hot for us as we were locate to sit near to the play area. Since we are at the corner table, therefore the air condition was not switched on. Perhaps, they shall gather everyone in the other side during lunch time so that they will have some cool environment while dine in.

Apart from that, their add on are value for money. Our total bill add up to be RM54.60.
