kith & kin @ Vantage Desiran, Tanjung Tokong, Penang.

Few days ago, my friend and I decided to drop by Kith & Kin for lunch since she is going to pick up something from the same building as well.
I never stopped by during day time at Vantage Desiran. Most of the time, I will only drop by at night. On that day, it is packed with cars but still managed to get a car park in front and for the time being the parking is free.
Following are the menu of kith & kin:

Beverages

 Bottle of water
It's quite a good idea to serve each table with a bottle of water. Instead of asking for refill or asking for some extra water.
* Please note that you can opt for the Add on RM6.90 for
1. Iced Lemon Tea or add on RM3 for freshly brewed coffee
2. Soup of the day
3. Ice - cream

  Iced Lemon Tea
If you would like some sweetness to your ice lemon tea, you can opt for the syrup provided. But I prefer the way just it is being served.

Mushroom Burger - RM16.90
My friend opt for the mushroom burger. It is served with burger bun and top with portobello mushroom, sauted with assorted mushroom, wild rockets and sauce. It came with some fries as well. Mushroom lover can opt for a try!

 Chicken Schnitzel - RM15.90
After browsing through the menu, I saw Chicken Schnitzel is on the menu. Then my friend already knew that I will order this to try. The reason behind this is because we always go for chicken schnitzel during our high school days. Therefore, whenever we came across Chicken Schnitzel, our memories flash back.
Well, this chicken schnitzel of course is different from what we always had before and the outlook is different too. kith & kin has its own version of chicken schnitzel. It is very crispy at the outer part and juicy and tender within. It served with some salads and fries. And not to forget their sauce as well.

FoOd PaRaDiSe verdict:

kith & kin just open this month and I believed that they still have room for improvement. The place is very big. Services are good and very attentive. And for parents with children, this is one of the places where children have a corner to play and please make sure that all parents/guardians obey their rules and keep the place clean.
Some drawback for us during our visit - its a bit hot for us as we were locate to sit near to the play area. Since we are at the corner table, therefore the air condition was not switched on. Perhaps, they shall gather everyone in the other side during lunch time so that they will have some cool environment while dine in.
Apart from that, their add on are value for money. Our total bill add up to be RM54.60.

Tanjong Tokong Food Court, Tanjung Toking, Penang

Gosh... it's more than a week that I did not update my blog. Being too busy lately. Anyway, I tell my self I shouldn't neglect this blog for too long. So I decided to blog something that I tried in Tanjong Tokong Food Court.
We came to know this food court when we travelling from Tanjung Bungah. Spotted this food court and decided to give it a try when we are in that area. It is quite a huge food court and with lots of varieties there. But since only 3 of us, we cannot ordered too much. So for the night we tried:
Century Egg Porridge
I feel like having some porridge that night. So hubby ordered century egg porridge for me. With the combination of century egg and salted eggs, chinese yu tiao, spring onion, deep fried shallots and dash of pepper. It is such a comfort food for me. It tastes nice.
Deep Fried Tofu
Bak Kut Teh
Hubby saw a stall selling bak kut teh and decide to order bak kut teh without any rice. Since it is a rainy night on our visit, this soup is really a wonderful things to have. To warm ourselves from the rainy spell. As for the soup base, it is a bit darker but tastes nice. Have lots of herbal aroma in there.
Fried Rice
My gal opt for fried rice. And she told me that the fried rice is nice.
Fried Tang Hoon
Hubby looking around and saw this fried tang hoon stall and decided to get one for himself. And his verdict is not too bad.
Overall, we found that the foods served in this food court are nice. And we will be going back to try out other stuff when we are around that area again.

Brief History of Hai Zhu Tua Pek Kong Temple
There are a restaurant and few stalls operate in SEA PEARL LAGOON.

Views around the restaurant
ok enough of the views........ back to the main attention ~ FOODS lol
Well.... after we sat down, one auntie came over and asked us what we want to eat........ b4 we start to ask her, she already asked..... you want prawn, crab, satay, noodles......... lol
Hubby ordered:

Chicken Satay
The chicken satay is not bad and very tender.
Satay Sauce
The satay sauce is not spicy at all which is suitable for my gal. lol
Prawn
The minimum you have to order is 1/2kg of prawn. So we ordered the minimum and that's what we got. My gal and I are so fortunate as we don't have to remove the prawn shells as we got hubby to do it for us. (How fortunate leh!!) Usually, I will do it myself but since the prawn arrived first and I have to captured the rest of the photos, hubby do it for me. lol
The prawns taste very fresh and nice. It is not under cooked or over cooked. Just perfectly done. lol

Chili sauce go with the prawn
Deep Fried Calamari
Do you like deep fried calamari? If you are like me, then please visit this stall and order their deep fried calamari. The texture is very good. You will not regret it when you order this. Very yummy! It cost RM 12.
Sauce for the Deep Fried Calamari
I loves this sauce as it is very refreshing and appetising. lol
Grilled Fish
Hubby loves this grilled fish very much as it does not have too much marinated sauce on top of the grilled fish. This fish is so fresh and tastes nice with their marinated sauce. Furthermore, it is not spicy at all and it is good for kids and those who cannot take spicy food. lol
Sauce for Grilled Fish
Baked Crab
The crabs are very fresh and taste nice. We were told by the auntie we have to order a minimum of 1 kg.
Fried noodles
Their noodles taste just so-so.
Overall, the foods over here are ok.
