Roti Canai @ Transfer Road, Penang

Every time I passed by Transfer Road, I always saw many people in this roti canai stall. Sometime, I even saw people standing along the road side to wait for their seat. And we were told by our friends and colleagues that the roti canai served in Transfer Road is very nice. Hubby and I were waiting for the right time to try this stall. And during one weekday when hubby on leave, we went there in the morning to grab some bites on the roti canai.
Since we went there during weekday and is around 8am++, so we managed to get a seat. While we were seated, there come a guy asking for our drink order and I ordered

Ice Tea
while I forgot what hubby ordered. Then came another guy who took roti canai order. Both of us order roti telur each and we were told that they have 2 types of curry gravy and we ordered both.
Curry Chicken Gravy
Hubby had this curry chicken gravy and we were surprise to see that it came with a big piece of chicken. And hubby told me that the chicken tastes nice and very tender. I don't have the opportunity to taste the chicken as hubby gobbles everything before I start to had mine. Guess he enjoyed his breakfast very much. ^-^
Mutton Curry
I go for the mutton curry. The mutton is not as tender as i thought it would be. As hubby told me that the chicken curry is very tender. It is still a bit hard in some part of the mutton. The curry is nice and has a nice balance of aroma.
Roti Telur
From the look of the photos, you should be able to see that the roti telur that we had is very crispy. I like crispy roti telur or just plain roti to go with the curry gravy is so fantastic.
Closed up version of Roti Telur
Saw the thin layer and crispiness of the roti telur? While writing this in the morning, makes me want to have this roti telur right now. Yum! Yum!

西公园 @ Transfer Road, Penang

During one weekend, my gal told us that she wanted to have lunch while we were @ town. And she specifies that she wants to have some "Chu Char". Hubby has no idea where to have lunch around 1.30pm in the afternoon. As usually most of the place will wrap up their lunch hours in 30 minutes or so. Then suddenly...... I recall this shop ~ 西公园 @ Transfer Road, Penang.
For Map Location, please click here.
I never dine there before but hubby went there with my MIL for their fried rice before and told me that it tastes very delicious. My MIL also told me that it has the "Wok Hei". So since my gal wants to have chu char we decided to go there as the shop operates from 11am till late.
When we arrived there, there are only few tables of people but after we finished our order, more customers are visiting them. And by the time we leave, it is almost full house. ^o^
The uncle took our order asked us if we want any soups..... and after a range of soups the uncle named it..... we go for their
Cabbage Soup
The uncle was telling us. The cabbage soup "Ho Chiak". Kids will loves it. So we settle with the cabbage soup and the uncle is right. The soup tastes nice and sweet. My gal loves it very much and I lose count how many bowl of soup she gobbles up. ^o^ And there are many ingredients in the soup as well.
Soya Sauce Pork
Uncle also recommended this for my gal...... so we ordered this and give it a try. The pork is very thinly slices and tastes nice but hubby and I found it a bit salty to our liking. It is best to go with some white rice.
Fu Yong Omelette's
Hubby asked uncle whether there are any egg dishes? And uncle told us Fu Yong Omelette's. The Fu Yong Omelette's is very fragrant. It has a very nice aroma and it tastes nice but also a bit salty to our liking.
Assam Prawn
The last dish is the assam prawn and it tastes very nice and fresh.
Overall..... everyone of us is enjoying the meal there. And the price is very reasonable.

Soya milk with leong fun
This is the first time I had this. I saw the next table having this and I ask hubby what is that?? And he told me it is soya milk with leong fun. It is basically soya milk + leong fun. It is quite nice. My gal have a try and she is happy to suck the leong fun out.

Stir fry kang Kong with bean paste
Usually when you order something cook with bean paste it will turn out to be salty. LOL but this shop stir fry kang kong with bean paste taste nice and not salty at all.

Seaweed Soup
This soup really taste good. We found out that inside the soup got so many ingredients - minced pork, seaweed, tang chai, fish ball, fresh, fish fillet, bean curd..............
RECOMMENDED!!!! if you love seaweed soup

Loh Eggs
Their eggs are very firm.......sometime you get lumpy type of loh egg but not this shop.

BBQ pork
Not bad.... but the sauce is a bit too sweet for me.

Braised Duck
The duck meat is so tender and nice.
Overall.... the food is not bad... and serve pretty fast. It cost us RM26.20 with 2 soya milk leong fun + 3 white rice. And the restaurant serve porridge too. This restaurant cook Teochew food.
