Auntie Gaik Lean's old school eatery @ Bishop Street, Penang.

During one of the visits from a friend from Ipoh, we went out for a dinner gathering at the nonya cuisine restaurant at No.1 Bishop Street, 10200 Penang. Contact Number: 04 - 2638121
Although it is a rainy night but still there are lots of patron.

FOOD THAT WE SAVOUR:

Hot Barley - RM3, Nutmeg Juice - RM4 and Honey Lemon - RM5
I had the nutmeg juice which I think it is something special from other restaurant as they blend the nutmeg. So you still can feel the blended nutmeg at the bottom of the glass. Normally, they will serve just the nutmeg juice. You can give this a try if you like nutmeg. As for my family, my gal and hubby do not favour nutmeg juice.

BABA DELIGHT - RM28
We were introduced to try this platter as it has the combination of spring rolls, lor bak, cucur udang and acar awak. Which was a good choice for us. As everyone enjoyed it very much and my guest loves their acar awak.

KIAM CHAI ARK - RM20 (Small Serve)
We ordered a small serve of Kiam Chai Ark. Which eventually distribute to 5 bowl of soup for the five of us. The soup does not have the strong duck flavour.

KERABU PUCUK PAKU - RM16 (SMALL)
This would be my love for the night. The kerabu pucuk paku. It is actually hand tossed fiddlehead fern (Paku) with aromatic herbs, I think if we ordered another plate of this, it would be gone in just few minutes. Really recommend to try this if you like paku.
Jiew Hu Char (SMALL) - RM22
