Do you have any idea where to dine during Valentine's Day for this year? It's just 5 weeks away from Valentine Day - 14.02.2016 (Sunday). It is also falls on the 7th day of Chinese New Year this year.
Let me proudly introduce you to David Brown Valentine's Menu of 2016:
VALENTINE DAY MENU
STARTER
ROULEAU DE PRINTEMPS
Cod Fish Paper Roll & Mango Spring Roll
As a starter, I get to try two types on one plate. One with deep fried spring roll skin and one with paper roll. Personally, I love the one that wrap with paper roll.
SOUP
LOBSTER BISQUE
Lobster Essence & Slipper Lobster Meat
Always love their bread as it always serve it warm with cold butter.
As for the soup, it has a rich lobster aroma when it was served. For the first sip, I can taste different kind of herbs being added to the soup. Personally, I feel that it's a little bit spicy for those who cannot take spicy food. For me, it tastes alright. In each bowl of soup, it consists of lobster meat and crouton.
1ST MAIN COURSE
CHICKEN ROULADE
Poivrade Sauce & Potato Confit
For the first bite, I feel that it's contain strong spice in the stuffing but the more I try, I fall in love with it.
(There will be two main dishes for this menu and the first main course is fixed.)
2ND MAIN COURSES
There are 3 options for 2ND main course. You can choose either one out of the following three:
STEAMED CHITEAU COD
Seafood Veloute & Chive Pomme Puree
This will be my first choice out of the 3 options available.The cod fish that I had does not have the strong fishy aroma. The sauces was just the right amount to go with the cod fish. Personally, I love the mashed potatoes with chive. It is nicely done for my liking. This is a nice plate of combination of colour and taste.
OR
LAMB STEW
Balsamic Portwine & Potato Confit
The lamb stew is also a nice choice to choose. As the lamb was stew till very soft and tender. I think those who loves tender lamb stew will love this dish.
DESSERT
ALWAYS SWEET
Chocolate Strawberry Mousse & Sponge
To end the meal, we had chocolate strawberry mousse and sponge cake. It is basically sponge cake in the first, third and last layer. In between, there are the chocolate and strawberry mousse. It is quite a refreshing cake. It came with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and assorted fruits such as strawberry, blueberry, blackberry and cape gooseberry.

There will be FOC one bottle of Red or White House Wine for full payment made upon booking.

Session 1 : 5:30pm - 8pm
Session 2 : 8:30pm - 10pm
* Please note: For 12.02.2016 and 13.02.2016, they will serve high tea and A la carte menu. However for 14.02.2016, they will not serve high tea and A la carte menu.
