Old Merlin Nasi Kandar @ Union Street (Lebuh Union), Penang.

This is one of the popular nasi kandar in Georgetown area. Well, it has been long time that hubby did not savour this nasi kandar. He has been pestering me to go with him for many months. Sometime when we passed by the area either we cannot get a car park or is full house.

So during my day off, we went early. They start operate from 8am onwards. 

This Nasi Kandar operates at the corner of Lebuh Union and Penang Street. It is easily to find with the Merlin Hotel Sign.

We usually will order the teh tarik with less sugar. 

Nasi Kandar 1 - RM7.60

This plate consist of deep fried chicken maryland, lady fingers, boiled egg and different curry sauces.

Nasi Kandar 2 - RM12.60

This plate consists of curry chicken maryland, lady fingers, curry squid, boiled egg and different curry sauces.

FoOd PaRaDiSe verdict:

I personally like the deep fried chicken maryland as it has a very nice aroma of spices and herbs on it. The lady fingers were steam at the right time. Just the right texture. The curry squids are tender. The mix curry sauces are very tasty and nice aroma. Have a try if you never tried this before but please go early to get a place to sit and queue up for your food ordering. Boss were very friendly.
