My first visit to Butter and Olive was the opening of their Bayan Lepas/Relau branch. I have been there several times as that is the nearest shop for me to visit. I have tried many of their buns and cakes. This time, we visited their Sungai Dua branch where it has beverage station and they also serve set lunch.
Butter & Olive principles is to provide healthy eating. Therefore, they use raw sugar, butter, whole grain flour, fruits, vegetables, natural yeast and no high transfat margerine products for their baking.

Food that we review:
1a - Dinosaur Egg Bread - RM4.20
I love this bread very much as I love walnut very much. Inside of this bread consists of raisin and walnut which coated with some sugars on top of the bun. If you love raisin and walnut, this would be a great choice to choose.
1b. Green Tea Signature Bun - RM3.80
Green Tea and mochi lover, you might want to try this out. Inside of the bun consist of mochi and almond. And it has generous amount of almond. This is also one of my favorite buns.
1c. Signature Durian - RM3.80
Any durian lover? In precisely D24 durian lover? If you are one of them, don't forget to try out their signaturian durian.
1d. Yoghurt Cheese Bun - RM2.80
I love to do baking using yoghurt as it usually will make my cake very moist and healthier. This yoghurt cheese bun looks just a normal bun but it is very soft in texture.
1e. Floating island Bread - RM3.50
I think this floating island bread is very good for breakfast. As it consists of egg, ham and cheese. I think my gal would love this for her breakfast at school.
1f. Kaya Bun - RM2.80
Kaya lover, you can give it a try with their kaya filling and topped with dry coconut.
2a. Europe Cheesy Footlong Sausage - RM4.20
This is indeed footlong sausage. Cheesy and sausage lover, try this out!
2b. Italian Mushroom Bread - RM5
This is basically consists of mushroom, cheese and some herbs. It's a bit like pizza filling but it is a bun bread.
2c. Wholemeal Sweet Potato Bun - RM4.20
For me, this is also one of the buns that I will choose as i believe it is make with wholemeal flour. And the filling itself is combination of sweet potato and butter. The filling is not too sweet at all. Just perfect for my liking.
2d. Polo Barbeque Chicken Bun - RM3.50
I remembered in my university time, I love having hot egg tart and polo bun. But this one is with the chicken barbeque filling.
Hanjuku Cheese - RM4.20/pc or 5 for RM20
Egg Pudding - 4 for RM10
This egg pudding is very cute right? And it taste nice too. This is in fact one of their signature puddings. I think kids would love having this. By the way, the pudding is not too sweet as well.
Baked Cheese - 4 for RM12
At first sight, this baked cheese make me think of Christmas. Not too sure why but just feel it when I saw it. Love the way they make the baked cheese using small liner cup. As it will not feel too full after consume one small piece of it.
Pineapple Tart - RM3
Taiwanese Scone - 3 for RM6
Have you ever tried Taiwanese style of scone before? At butter & olive, you can give this a try. I love the Taiwanese scone as its look very cute.
Fairyland - RM6 for 4pcs
Inside of the fairyland filling consist of the "Chai Poh". It is something different compare with the other bun. You shall give this a try if you like something different.
Molten Cheese Tart - RM4.20/pc
This is one of the new popular molten cheese tarts. Cheesy lover really should give this tart a try. It is very full after you consume one of this. But it tastes very good.
Green Tea Honey - RM4.50
Chocolate Almond - RM4.20
They also served toasted bread with green tea + honey and toasted chocolate almond bread. I prefer the chocolate almond and if the bread toast could be thicker, I think it would be more perfect for me.
Honey Marble Cake - RM8
The honey marble cake is very soft and fluffy. Chinese New Year around the corner, perhaps you can order this.

Out of the beverages that we reviewd, my first choice would be the healthy mixed fruit tea. Some of the ingredients uses are goji, red dates, green apples and oranges, Give this a try!
Desserts
Pure Coconut Milk Ice-Cream - RM3.90/cup
How about coconut milk ice-cream with the hot weather in Penang lately? And with RM3.90 per cup with toppings. It is just irresistible, right? It is surely a nice cooling desserts.
