Invited Review ~ Noodle Station @ Kulim

This is my first ever post of food around Kulim. And it is also the first outing with a bunch of floggers for makan trip out of Penang islands. Our review for the day is

Let me start by introducing you the drinks that we try during this outing. There are lots of them.

Ice Age RM8.00, Iced Ceylon Lemon Tea RM4.00, Au Natural RM6.50, Mocha Iced Blended RM8.00, Iced Teh Tarik RM4.00, Iced Cream Cappuccino RM8.00, Havana Holiday RM7.00, Teh Tarik Hazelnut RM3.50, Snowflake Americano RM 6.00 and After Dinner Mint Cappuccino RM7.00 From the above, I personally love the Mocha iced blended as the mocha is so smooth and nice. If you love peppermint , perhaps you could try Havana Holiday and Snowflake Americano as it has a strong peppermint syrup taste and the espresso mixed taste so smooth and silky. If you want something nice and refreshing, you can try Iced Ceylon Lemon Tea. Ice Age is also another drink to try. It consist of Vanilla, Blue Curacao, Black Currant Juice and yogurt blended. The mixtures make the drink very nice but little bit sweet.

Sunrise RM8.00, Mango Snow RM7.50, I Love You Lemonade RM3.50, Angel Face RM8.00, Raspberry Truffle Italian Soda RM4.50, Kiwi Sorbet & Mango Sorbet RM6.00 each, Pure Chocolate Iced Blended RM8.50, Green Tea Honey Latte RM 6.50 and Iced Honey Peach Fruit Tea RM7.50

From this category, I personally like Sunrise, which is the combination of mango juice, orange juice, strawberry and yogurt blended. I found that this drink are not too sweet. Just perfect for my tastes. As I am a mango fans, I also like Mango Snow and Mango Sorbet, which has nice mango aroma. However both are too sweet for my liking. Pure Chocolate Iced Blended also my favourite drinks. The chocolate ice blended is so smooth, rich chocolaty aroma and not too sweet. The colourful Angel Face attract my attention and it is the mixtures of lemon, blue curacao, lychee with soda. But if you don't like soda, please omit this. Honey Peach Fruit Tea is also a nice refreshing drink. The taste is like the Boh Peach Fruit Tea.

Next, back to the foods. We try several different kinds of foods as following:

Springy Noodle With BBQ Honey Whole Leg Chicken RM 8.00, Springy Noodle With Fried Chicken Dumpling RM 6.50, Fried Springy Noodle With Prawn- No Spicy RM6.50 and Fried Springy Noodle With Prawn- No Spicy RM6.50

Curry Springy Noodle With Prawn & Fish Ball RM 7.50 and Springy Noodle Soup With Tom Yam Seafood RM 7.50

Curry springy noodle with prawn taste a bit salty towards my liking. And since we have to take pictures for the foods, we cannot savour it immediately when being served, so cannot comments about the springy noodles textures. For the Springy Noodle Soup with Tom Yam Seafood, I found that it is suitable for those who cannot take too spicy and sour foods. As tastes rather sweet.

Mutiara Selera @ Island Glades, Penang

This place is not a stranger place for most people in Penang. As it is one of the "Popular" food stalls in Island Glades. Occasionally, we will drop by this place for dinner if we are craving for some hawker foods in this area.

During one outing with my sister and mother. My sister reckon that she would like to go there for some hawker foods. As she wants more varieties. So we head on to Mutiara Selera.

Since I took the photo of the western food corner on a on going car, I better blog about the western foods offer from Barbecue Corner Cheah's Delights first. In this western food corner, there are a lots of choices but usually we will order mix grilled

Mix Grilled

Few years back, I could remember that all the foods in this mix grilled are big in sized but it seems like the portion getting smaller and smaller each time we order this. This is all due to the price increasing ah......... My sister enjoyed her mixed grilled and share some with us too!

Wantan Mee

My mum is having wantan mee for the night. And she told me that she prefers some other place wantan mee than this. As she comments that the noodles textures is kinda soft towards her liking.

Fried Rice

My gal is a "rice" person. Most of the time she will go for rice during dinner. And she wants some fried rice. We never tried the fried rice before. But I can see that my gal is enjoying her fried rice. As she finished all of them. ^-^

Chicken Satay

Hubby went and order some chicken satay. Occasionally when we visited this shop, we will order some chicken satay while waiting for other order to come. The Chicken Satay is not bad. Very tender.

Lor Mee

Hubby decided to have lor mee for the night. He comments that the lor me is ok.

Char Koay Teow

I had CKT for the night. I am enjoying my plate of CKT. The CKT in this food court is nice.

All of the above kuih are from the same corner where auntie is selling all sort of kuihs. Be prepare to wait for your turn as many people came here and patronise the kuih stall. For me, the kuih is just so-so. ^-^

Tanjong Tokong Food Court, Tanjung Toking, Penang

Gosh... it's more than a week that I did not update my blog. Being too busy lately. Anyway, I tell my self I shouldn't neglect this blog for too long. So I decided to blog something that I tried in Tanjong Tokong Food Court.

We came to know this food court when we travelling from Tanjung Bungah. Spotted this food court and decided to give it a try when we are in that area. It is quite a huge food court and with lots of varieties there. But since only 3 of us, we cannot ordered too much. So for the night we tried:

Century Egg Porridge

I feel like having some porridge that night. So hubby ordered century egg porridge for me. With the combination of century egg and salted eggs, chinese yu tiao, spring onion, deep fried shallots and dash of pepper. It is such a comfort food for me. It tastes nice.

Deep Fried Tofu

Bak Kut Teh

Hubby saw a stall selling bak kut teh and decide to order bak kut teh without any rice. Since it is a rainy night on our visit, this soup is really a wonderful things to have. To warm ourselves from the rainy spell. As for the soup base, it is a bit darker but tastes nice. Have lots of herbal aroma in there.

Fried Rice

My gal opt for fried rice. And she told me that the fried rice is nice.

Fried Tang Hoon

Hubby looking around and saw this fried tang hoon stall and decided to get one for himself. And his verdict is not too bad.

Overall, we found that the foods served in this food court are nice. And we will be going back to try out other stuff when we are around that area again.
