Shang Place Restaurant

Location: Blok 303B-1-27, Krystal Point, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, 11900 Bayan Lepas, Penang.
Tel: 604-6427031
Few months ago, I asked hubby whether he heard any review from this restaurant and hubby told me, nobody told him anything about this restaurant. We monitor for few months and it seems that the business is quite ok, so we decided to give it a try last Monday during the Public Holiday. lol

Entrance to Shang Place Restaurant
Interior of Shang Place Restuarant
The restaurant is actually having two floors of seating. This is the ground floor interior setting of Shang Place Restaurant.
Special Set lunch ~ RM6 nett
Special set lunch/dinner for 2, 3 & 5 persons
Braised fish maw and mushroom with broccoli. This is a very nice dish.

Curry Prawn in Pandan Coconut
The curry is not very spicy but it has a very nice aroma. The prawns are fresh and succulent. lol
Braised Spare Ribs and Mantou
The braised spare ribs are very soft and tender but I don't really like their mantou. I prefer the one in Plus Two restaurant. lol
Mango Sago
The mango sago is very refreshing and tastes nice too.
Overall..... their foods are nice and the price is ok. And there are many people patronize this restaurant. It is almost full house when we left. lol
*************************************************************************
On the second day, hubby went to try out their set lunch. The set lunch comprise of
Soup of the day - something like tomyam
Hubby found it too spicy for him. lol
White rice with either pork/chicken with one type of vege and fish meat
Hubby comments that it is basically like "ECONOMY RICE" and it tastes ok.
Honey Dew sago
Hubby orders dessert as the set lunch does not include any dessert. So hubby tries their honey sago. Hubby comments that he prefers mango sago than this. lol

Another information that I want to share with my readers is that Shang Place Restaurant is actually another branch of
Shang Palace Chinese Cuisine
@ Kompleks Bukit Jambul, Block 2A, 5-03, Jalan Rumbia, 11900 Bayan Lepas, Penang.

After telling you this information, I think most people will say "ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...... the restaurant in BJ. lol" As they specialised in wedding and birthday function and etc.
*****Updated 23.11.2009, Shang Place Restaurant has moved to the corner where Flame Steamboats use to operate. *****

Location: Blok 303B-1-27, Krystal Point, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, 11900 Bayan Lepas, Penang.

The adddress correct?

Thought Krystal Point is at Jalan Tun Awang, and to be more precise:

Lebuh Bukit Kecil 6, 11900 Bayan Lepas

Penang Tua Pui - yes, please go and have a try again. Perhaps not the set lunch. Go and ordered some from the menu. Sometime when we ordered different things in the restaurant the outcome is different. lol And every one taste bud is different too. lol

Penang Tiong Hua - Thanks for your comment. And I have double check with the name card and also the bill, it is the CORRECT address. And I went one step further to their website and still the address is CORRECT. lol You can visit their website to @http://shangcuisine.com/ to check their address too. :)
Thanks for dropping by.

At the corner of Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah and Krystal Point is a Proton Service Garage.

If the location is Krystal Point, then the address is definitely:

Lebuh Bukit Kecil 6, 11900 Bayan Lepas

which is adjacent to Jalan Tun Awang and Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.

Perhaps, the bill and name card is printed as a marriage d' convenience.

Actually, this is not a big deal. Only thing being my curiosity on the address.
